The area to the south of the TwinGate area is considered the Sanjuin kingdom proper. Bordered by a western seacoast, a mountain range to the east, and a (natural) desert to the south, Sanjun is comfortably isolated from the rest of the world.
The area itself is much more lush than the TwinGate area, and possesses vast amounts of rich farmland. Racially, the kingdom tends largely to the human, although dwarves from one or another of the DwarvenKingdoms are found doing business there, and halflings and gnomes and elves are not terribly uncommon.
Currently, the Southlands are in a bit of a political uproar, since the old King Gorlun is expected to die soon of old age, leaving a bunch of people grabbing for power in his wake.
