Aldea was orphaned early, saved by her parents and a Rope Trick from the rampaging savage humanoids in the great raids 150 years ago. She survived by learning to live and love the woods around her, and to hide. Her wizardly parents left her with a little education into the workings of magic, and a deep curiosity. Experimenting on one's own has its hazards, however. A botched spell has left her with permanently, nondispellably gold skin, which tends to draw some attention. This, her early history, and her scholarly bent have made her at times painfully shy.
She joined the party after having been thrown into the same dungeon as they. Gold skin makes it harder to hide after overhearing things that one shouldn't.
Aldea is not currently accompanied by her familar Aeglos, an ice mephit.
Aldea died protecting Sendant from an Assassin Golem.
