Aldea Rolls Two 20's and an 11

Episode Number: (TG318)
Original Airdate: 11/2001

The party rests, prepares spells, goes to the teleporter room, inserts the talismans, and is teleported to a chamber with one door. They head through it and face Reltajoon, Brel, and a strange sorcerer-type, along with a bunch of undead. At the end of this cliffhanger episode, many party members are in single digit hit points, most of the undead are gone, and a whole lot of spells have been used.

Character Analysis: Timus

By round:
  1. Hasted, used levitate spell to get up, already invisible
  2. Fireballed the bejeebers out of the undead minions -- Reltajoon unaffected by fireball. Used haste action to grease Reltajoon, who falls down.
  3. Blinded by flying guy. Cast Clairvoyance in front of self to approximate vision. Then Cold-coned the flying guy, taking out one of the skins while doing so.
  4. Flame-struck by Reltajoon -- most likely because Aldea was visible and nearby. Moved away from flame-strike-rod Aldea, re-cast Clairvoyance in front of new location. Used extra action to cast targeted Dispel Magic on Reltajoon, potentially removing some of his protections.
  5. With massive injuries and blindness, decided that I needed a break from the combat. Teleported to the Fountain Room and took drink, then heard ominous beeping from Tasan, likely as result of the flame-strike damage...

DMP Speaks:

Big end battle, lots of fun. Rilt hasn't killed anyone yet, but he's still got plenty of spells to work with. And his spiked chain. Man, you don't even want to HEAR about the spiked chain. Man, if he rolls a critical...

Brel...

Yeah, I know. I love the actor, it's a great part, but he just never quite lives up to expectations... This might end up being his last role... That fumble in mid-attack, he could just never get that right. (sigh)

Flying dude... so he can Blind people at will, and he flies and casts lightning bolts? What the hell level is he?

Think outside the box. Waaaaaay outside the box.
