In a deadly battle, the party defeats the leaders of the FrostClan goblins. Arik, the cleric, is killed, while Lig, the mage, escapes.

Watch For:

• Combat errors in editing, where an obviously cg'd hammer goes THROUGH a windowpane to smite Leny

Plot Points:

• The party has now defeated all of the minor goblin leaders, and only has Salin left to face.
• The party definitely needs to rest. They are utterly drained at this point.
• Leny's clumsiness has almost gotten her killed, through a nasty fireball and then some good hits by the goblins.

Unanswered Questions:

• What's going to happen with Leny?
• What were Lig and Arik?
• Are Leny and Arlemis having sexual tension?
• Who is Ilcitrix, the creature who apparently leads the goblins above Lig and Arik?

DMP Speaks:

Lig was a first level barbarian and fifth level wizard. Arik was a first-level barbarian and fifth-level cleric of the Savage.

Yes, but what were Lig and Arik?

Lig and Arik were the leaders of the FrostClan, under Ilcitrix -- who'd be a much better person to worry about, I think.

(4/2001) Lig and Arik are half-white dragons

Aha! Well, yes, if you have half-green dragons, it stands to reason that there'd be half-white dragons, too. That blast of frost that Arik hit Tierney with at the end of the battle. I talked to the CG team about it very carefully, and if you watch closely, you'll see that it's not coming from a staff or wand or even a spell -- Arik is BREATHING that frost at Tierney.

Lig and Arik are actually larger players than they might seem. They're the first dragons the party gets to meet. And the first indication of what role dragons might play in this world...
