Until recently, the party knew very little about Ilcitrix -- merely some dragon who sought some sort of stone. Apparently Ilcitrix is the sort of white dragon that makes giants (like Thalax) cower in fear, and likes to use armies of kobolds to overrun villages of halflings. (I hear the cider is quite good.)
Ilcitrix is probably far nastier than the party realizes.
