The final battle concludes, and though Tierney is the only one left standing, Salin is dead.

Plot Points:

• Tierney killed Salin
• Salin appears to have been insane, not evil. He died with no knowledge of what he had done.
• When a druid is barkskinned, hasted, and has magical armor, he gets awfully hard to hit.

Unanswered Questions:

• Why did Tierney's pipes change all of a sudden to show the Wanderer's Icon?

DMP Speaks:

Trrkl was disappointing.

You can't have earthshaking combat in the very first season. Just fighting Salin proved to be more than most anyone could handle. Adding in Trrkl would have been a disaster. It worked out best to have Trrkl dispelled and driven away. Now, mind you, Trrkl's pretty thick, but he's still got a good memory, so there's a chance he'll be back at some point when the party isn't protected from evil en masse.

What about Tierney's pipes? How come they just turned good all of a sudden?

Yes, that was a bit convenient, wasn't it?
