The party (still invisible) flees into the keep, where they find former versions of themselves fighting an erinyes, masquerading as a goblin sorceress. After defeating her, the party watches the Bastard waltz in and subdue the party-from-the-past, then go into the center of the keep and have a conference with Salin. Ignoring that strange incident, the party lays an ambush for Groth the Vengeful. Once time is restored, the party returns to the Twingate of the present -- to find that sorcerers have been given a bad name.

Plot Points

• The timeline is back to normal! ...We think.
• Tierney is called the "Thornblessed" for a short period of time.
• Tierney may have been responsible for Gryff's vision of the Bright Blade.
• In an alternate timeline, Arly and Leny were married.
• An assassin tried to kill Tierney. Again. But they were stopped by another assassin from the same guild.
• Baelin may be responsible for spreading negative propaganda about sorcerers.

Unanswered Questions

• Is the timeline back to normal?
• Is the royal Gray Army of undead the same as the one mentioned by Aldea?
• How the hell did the Bastard go back in time?

Analysis

Modify Memory is a hugely wonderful spell that fixes lots of plotholes. Using it not only to revise history in the party's mind, but to plant a suggestion to get Leny to buy a wand for Tierney to use specifically in this event, is beautiful and wonderful and protective of the plot.

DMP Speaks

Only significant note here is that it's becoming increasingly obvious that a single bad guy cannot take the party, regardless of that single bad guy's power. Bad guys have to come in multiples if they are gonna be a threat.
