TG409
Redirected from: And All My Plans, Torn Asunder
Episode Number: (TG409)
Original Airdate: 3/2002
The party, having discovered the location of the lair of Tar'haer'raloth (the green dragon encountered in Season Two), plans a retributive strike. After a minor tussle with a few umber hulks and a behir, the party assaults the entrance to the green dragon's lair... with suboptimal results.
Plot Points
- There are trolls in the area around Tar'haer'raloth's lair, most likely in league with the dragon.
- There is also a ranger/druid circle nearby. They have some sort of peace treaty with the dragon.
Unanswered Questions
- What are the implications of Emcee's comments about Alyon having more horses and wagons than would be expected?
- Is the local Temple of the Bright Blade equipped to store and guard the body of the insectile monster?
- Will Aldea wake up, wonder what the hell's going on and who took her stuff, and chase after the party?
- What, exactly, was the party smoking when they thought that they could ambush a dragon?
Analysis
- Emcee and Arly, when flanking, are a dangerous combination.
- The party, though better equipped and prepared to fight Tar'haer'raloth, is still in for quite a ride.
- Dragons are still badass mo'fo's.
So let me try to answer the unanswered questions here.
- I heard of some human queen, princess, duchess, or something who liked horses. A little too much. Her name was Catherine. I believe that Tierney knows the story. Or at least he can tell it better than I can.
- If they can't handle it, nobody can.
- If she has something meaningful to contribute, hell yes!
- I'm not sure, but I'll bet Aldamar can identify it on sight when we encounter it.
In any case, I think we still have things under control with this
dragon. Things could be going way worse. (For instance, Sendant
could have simply not healed me after the dragon-bile incident...)
I'll let you know when I think it's time to panic.
"Oh hey," Tim pulls a worn but whole piece of paper from his pack the next day.
"I had a chance to Mend this last night, what do you think this means?" He
shows (everyone) the paper, on which is written in scratchy but legible
common:
"The Gray Army rises, and the sun is shadowless and far from the mountain.
A flail of gray strikes a weeping rod and drives it into the light."
