Episode Number: (PP102)
Original Airdate: 7/2002
This is the second episode of Prayer and Prurience, the clericky "one-shot".
This is episode was directed by David Bushong.
The party defeats their misty attackers and continues on to Griltar. The conference begins, the party schemes, and is interrupted by a pilfering attack from the Daks of Bergis. Well, impersonators, at least one of which is revealed to be Zim in disguise... before he is whisked away (apparently) by Hargrf. The other escapes with their stone horse and some item apparently snagged from one of the Firm Order priests.
During the Dak-induced chaos, both Amniz and Anwen attempt to get an aura reading from the main speaker at the conference. Their strange glares and muttering draw ire from the speaker (he has a name, right?) and Amniz bluffs his way out of getting a severe thrashing.
The conference is cancelled, and the party (except for Hargrf) hunts down the inn where their mark is staying, the Inn of the Well-Hewn Timber. (wink, wink) (No, I don't see any alternate meaning for that). They wait inside for his return.
See this spell? Divine Power? This is why you don't mess with old men who carry books and staves.
Ahem, Mr Analysis? What went well? I didn't see anything go well. (Perhaps my last meal went well, as I did not choke on it.)
Ulterior motives? I'm shocked. Shocked, I tell you. Just because I got all shifty and nervous when people started randomly and unnecessarily throwing around alignment divinations, and just because I sort of Dimension Doored off with a mischief maker, you all assume I've got something to hide. Heck, Sendant was very happy with the distraction I caused. It made it more likely that those stylus-pushers doing the divination work would get their chance to do the big stare at whatshisface.
So, I believe I've adequately defended myself. Now, if someone would be so kind as to point me at the local temple of the Temptress, I have some deals to make.
