Good Morning, Mister Thornbane

Episode Number: (TG304)
Original Airdate: 8/2001

Simon sends the party on a mission that equates to a big honkin' dungeon crawl. They must stop an undead army from destroying Ironpass. They are geased to be forced to obey, and their success will determine whether charges against them are dropped. Emcee is allowed to leave for some reason. Another member of the BlackPillar gives them another quest -- find something in the DungeonOfThePerishingFall to implicate Simon. Sendant, a Priest of the BrightBlade, joins the party.

Analysis:

Simon appeared angry at BlackCrag keep for refusing to help with the undead attacking Ironpass. Whether that led to Ironpass' refusal to help BlackCrag, or whether the attacks occurred simultaneously, remains to be seen.

If nothing else, the name of the item is a good clue that the Ta'bar'pur will still feature in this world, as their language is present.

The DungeonOfThePerishingFall was also mentioned by Simon as the dungeon of Pur'Jun'Fal. Again, TheLanguage.

DMP Speaks:

Again, here they are without their stuff. This is a back to the basics episode. Time to fight, time to kill. Some of the actors had been telling me that they really wanted an adventure where they just got to kill stuff.

The new guy

Again, someone we're really pleased to have with us. And the party should like him, too, since he can turn undead. We'll see how he works out.

Basilisks are so cliche.

Yes. We're looking into that. Wait for the next episode and see what happens.

Notable Quotes

(Devon attempts to argue that Aldamar can find a material component for one of his spells.)
Devon: Can we say that I always had a sprig of holly up my ass?
Patrick: Well, that would explain some of the personality quirks...
