TG604
Episode Number: (TG604)
Original Airdate: 3/2002
The party continues to explore the strange dungeon. Inside they rescue
a goblin trapped in some sort of examination room. Tierney makes a deal
with a demon, and regrets it shortly thereafter. After some skirmishes
with some mindflayers and thon'ri, the party teleports back to Arly's
keep where they discuss things with the goblin. The party rests for a
night, then return to the TBP stronghold and release a lillend, who tells
them of a group of Oathmaker clerics in a nearby room.
Plot Points
- During a failed teleport (on his way to rescue Arly when the room he was in teleported an unknown distance away), Timus ended up in the middle of a grassy plain.
- Arly enjoys fighting mindflayers now.
- The goblin's name is Relnev, and now resides at Arly's keep.
- The mindflayers and thon'ri were to be trying to extract information about a dance from Relnev.
- The dance is an ancient goblin ritual which looks very similar to the elven Bladedance.
- The goblin dance is used to resolve conflicts, determine which chief will become the leader when two tribes merge, etc.
- Goblins still have stories and myths involving three ancient gods.
- Relnev remembers hearing a female voice singing an ancient, complex song about the Great War.
Analysis
- Don't make deals with demons. They have no problems with breaking promises.
- Time left in the giant-king's truce with Bergis: 7 days
- Time left before evil force (PL?) carries out his attack on the northern city unless given the Sebereich: 1 day
Unanswered Questions
- Where is this place?
- Why are the TBP interested in the goblin (and, presumably, elven) dance?
- What did the TBP want with the demon?
- Where is the grassy plain?
- Are the TBP working with the Oathmaker?

Tierney: So what you're saying is that you'll actually double cross me, stab me in the back, and take my body along just for fun.
Trapped demon (lying badly): ...nnnnnno...?
Colin (rolling a 19 on a Use Magic Device check when he needed a 20): I don't want to go back to Twingate... there's nothing to DO in Twingate...

Tim (sheepishly): No... not really.
