The assault on the Ta'bar'pur stronghold begins in earnest. The party teleports into the control room, where Tierney uses the security system to disable wards and, incidentally, subdue the clerics of the Oathmaker with iron golems and poison gas. As Zerstrom's forces invade the stronghold, some mind flayers and three Del'teel challenge the party. In the ensuing combat, Arly is destroyed and turned to dust. After the Del'teel are defeated, Tierney True Resurrects Arly shortly before a Ruhj enters the control room.

Plot Points

• The Savage no longer exists.
• Lienne used Word of Recall to get away.
• Sendant's Mass Heal weakened Arly enough so that a Del'teel could finish him off.

Unanswered Questions

• Does Arly work for the Temptress now?

Analysis

• A Ruhj (the elite Ta'bar'pur soldier that Arly warned of) is an anti-spellcasting monster. Its antimagic field nullifies magical attacks and weapons, and it can adapt to the tactics of its enemies, making it increasingly hard to hit. However, it is vulnerable to silver.
